Teluk Sengat Crocodile Farm
There are as much as 1000 or even more crocodiles available in the Teluk
Sengat Crocodile Farm. The farm is established in the year of 1979. This is
definitely a place to go if you are planning for a one day trip, be it with your
family or friends. There, you can know more about crocodiles with all the
interesting and fun facts about them.
There are crocodile that is as old as 100 years in this farm. You may have a
chance to watch the crocodile keeper feeding the crocodiles with their fast and
dangerous actions. Apart from all those old crocodiles, you get to experience a
one to one time with the babies crocodile. You are allowed to hold them and
touch them under the supervising of the caretaker. Moreover, there are souvenirs
sold in the crocodile farm.
The crocodiles farm are cleaned everyday, not to worry about the smell and the
cleanliness in the farm is good, no litter on the walkway. There's a guide to
talk about the crocodiles but may not be available during busy hours.
Leave the farm with interesting facts on crocodiles, and take home some
souvenirs. The farm is open from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. Entrance fees are RM8 for
adults and RM4 for children (prices subject to change).
Getting There
Teluk Sengat Crocodile Farm is located at Kota Tinggi, 38 km away from Johor
Bharu. There are frequent buses (Maju 227, Causeway Link 6B, Transit Link 41)
between downtown Johor Bahru's Jalan Wong Ah Fook (the bus stop is opposite City
Square) and Kota Tinggi's bus terminal at Jalan Niaga Utama. The journey take
around an hour and the one way fares is RM4.00.
There are no bus route to Teluk Sengat Crocodile Farm, taxi or self drive is a
must, the journey from Kota Tinggi's bus terminal to the Crocodile Farm will
take around 35 minutes. It's about 30 minutes drive from Pulai Desaru Hotel.
